Good Bye Kwabena

Our family chain is broken
Nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one
The links shall join again

Your life was one kindly deeds,
A helping hand for others needs.
Sincere and true in heart and mind.
Beautiful memories left behind.

Condolences to the family

God blesses us each with so many things
And sometimes that blessing is a friend like you
He chooses a special angel, picked just for you
And loans them to you for awhile.
From the time they arrive
They hold your heart in their hands
And add countless precious moments to your life
And each night we bow down and ask the good Lord above
To protect them and keep them from strife.
Not one of us knows how long they'll be here
Or when God will call for his loan,
And take that special angel, picked just for you
Back to his glorious home.
But he made us a promise and I have no doubt,
He will carry you through this great sorrow.
Because when it's your time, he'll be first to greet you
And you'll be blessed with an eternity of tomorrows.

Heaven's Grocery Store

I was walking down life's highway a long time ago.
One day I saw a sign that read 'Heaven's Grocery Store'.
As I got a little closer, the door came open wide.
When I came to myself, I was standing just inside.
I saw a host of angels. They were standing everywhere.
One handed me a basket and said, 'My child, please shop with care'. Everything a Christian needed was in that Grocery Store. All you couldn't carry, you could come back the next day for. First, I got some PATIENCE; LOVE was in the very same row. Further down was UNDERSTANDING, you needed it wherever you go. I got a box or two of WISDOM, a bag or two of FAITH.
I just couldn't miss the HOLY SPIRIT, for He was all over the place!! I stopped to get some STRENGTH and COURAGE to help me run this race. By then my basket was getting full but...I remembered I needed some GRACE!
I didn't forget SALVATION, for SALVATION was free.
So I tried to get enough of that to save both you and me.
Then I started up to the counter to pay my grocery bill,
for I thought I had everything to do my Master's will.
As I wind up the aisle I saw PRAYER and I just had to put that in. For I knew when I stepped outside, I would run right into sin. PEACE and JOY were plentiful; they were on the last shelf. SONGS and PRAISES were hanging near, so I just helped myself. Then I said to the angel, 'How much do I owe?' He just smiled and said, 'Just take them everywhere you go.' Again I smiled at him and said, 'How much do I owe?' He smiled again and said...... 'My child, JESUS PAID YOUR BILL A LONG TIME AGO!'

You never said goodbye

You never said 'I'm leaving'
You never said goodbye
You were gone before I knew it,
And only God knew why
A million times I needed you,
A million times I cried
If Love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died
In Life I loved you dearly
In death I love you still
In my heart you hold a place,
That no one could ever fill
It broke my heart to lose you,
But you didn't go alone
For part of me went with you,
The day God took you home.

We do not lose the ones we love
They only go before;
Where there is everlasting life
Where there is sorrow no more
There the soul will always be
And peace is everywhere;
We do not lose the ones we love
God takes them in his care. 'Ojugu nante yie'.

Good-bye and thank-you

Do not cry for me
I have not gone far,
Only as far as my memory of you
And all of the love that you gave me.
Do not cry for me
As I enter a church for the last time,
As you whisper a few words of comfort
Into the ears of others.
For our hearts will beat together always
For death cannot part us
As life could not.
Goodbye, and thank-you
For all you have given me
For all of the smiles and all of the laughter,
The holding of hands
And the silences.
We will be together, forever,
Wherever we are.
Do not cry for me my darling,
For I have not gone far.

A perfect gentleman - R.I.P.

Our community has suffered a devastating blow this week. Our very own Uncle Daniel, met an untimely death. We cannot believe he is gone. We cannot believe a week has already passed! How are we going to cope without him?
Only a couple of weeks ago, I had spoken to him. Though he was unwell, he asked us not to worry about him. He often greeted us with his broad grin and vibrant demeanor. He cared for his friends and family all his life, and we respected him with all sincerity. He inspired a lot of people in our community. He was a fine, promising gentleman, always ready to assist everyone, even strangers. God knows why he called him in his prime. As Christians we understand that He did not want him to suffer any longer. He really loved his family, adored his friends and colleagues, cherished his children. May he rest in eternal peace. xxx

DAMIRIFA DUE DUE DUE NE AMANEHUN

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
Grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to
eternal life. DAMIRIFA DUE
