All is well
Death is nothing at all,
I have only slipped into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used
Put no difference in your tone,
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was, Let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant.
It it the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near,
Just around the corner.
All is well.
Do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there.
I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond’s gilt on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there.
I did not die.
Bon Voyage
A Bon Voyage
Now hide away this shell I bear
I have duties far beyond the sight of man
I shed this mortal image that I wear
Somewhere, somehow, I follow a new plan
My friends, my friends, I will forget you not
Perhaps you will someday remember me
And find me in the place to which I roam
That lies so far beyond that starry sea
For this shall be another bon voyage
Amongst the many journeys I have known
So in this new land I will travel now
As here, soon many friendships will have grown
So say farewell old friend and shake my hand
Until we meet up in that far off land
NYAME MFA WO NSIE YIE!!!!!!!!!!!
What can I say?? I’m speechless! Uncle/Daddy I normally called him. Uncle Dan, was devoted man, a man who had the best of everything, a man that had plenty of time for people – Advice, encouragement, confident, what else? Everything! He was a confident boaster! I can say!! I can’t still believe he is gone. “gonetoosoon” a true website for him. He will be greatly missed by all of us, family, friends and everyone who was really close to him.
I love you dearly and you will always be remembered. Miss you forever!!!!!!!!
REST IN PEACE DAD.
Until we meet again
Love from, PAT. XXXX
Walk in Sunshine
May you always walk in sunshine and God’s love around
you flow,
for the happiness you gave us, no one will ever know,
it broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone,
a part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
A million times we’ve needed you.
A million times we’ve cried.
If love could only have saved you.
You never would have died.
The Lord be with you,
And may you rest in peace.
Amen
To everything there is a season
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every
purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to breakdown, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones
together;
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to reap, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate;
A time of war, and a time of peace.
A Stopping Place Called Life
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what’s to be,
A resting place along the road
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
But never meant to stay.
Our destination is a place
far greater than we know,
For some, the journey’s quicker,
For some the journey’s slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We’ll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the Lord.
Wonderful brother
A light is from our household gone
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled.
God gave us a wonderful brother
A brother who never grew old
You were always there with a helping hand
Help us now to accept His plan.
We miss you now, our hearts are sore
As time goes by, we miss you more
Your loving smile, your gentle face
No one can take our brother’s place.
May the Choirs of Angels receive you and
may you have rest and peace everlasting.
Amen.
To Those I Love and Those Who Love Me
When I am gone, release me, let me go.
I have so many things to see and do.
You mustn’t tie yourself to me with tears,
Be happy that we had so many years.
I gave you my love and you can only guess,
How much you gave me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown,
But now it’s time I traveled on alone.
So grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It’s only for awhile that we must part
So bless the memories within your heart.
I won’t be far away, for life goes on,
So, if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be near,
And if you listen with your heart,
You’ll hear all my love around you soft and clear.
And then, when you must come this way alone,
I’ll greet you with a smile and say, “Welcome Home.”
When the Master Calls
There comes a time for all of us
when we must say good-bye,
But faith and hope and love
and trust can never, never die.
Although the curtain falls at last
is that a cause to grieve?
The future’s fairer than the past
if only we believe.
And trust in God’s eternal care—
So when the Master calls
let’s say that life is still more fair
although the curtain falls.
